Frequently asked questions.
Our core team is based in Paris. We work with a network of specialist freelance translators across Europe and in Japan, Korea and the Gulf region. All translators we work with are subject specialists in their domain, not general translators who happen to know the language.
Our primary pairs from French are FR-EN, FR-DE, FR-IT, FR-ES, FR-PT, FR-AR, FR-JA, FR-ZH and FR-KO. From English we cover EN-FR, EN-DE, EN-IT, EN-ES, EN-AR, EN-JA and EN-ZH. For combinations between other languages, ask us: the answer will depend on the subject matter and your timeline.
For documents requiring official certification in France we work with translators registered with the French Cour d'appel. For international submissions requiring sworn certification in other jurisdictions, we coordinate with registered sworn translators in Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK. Our sworn translation service is part of the Legal & Judicial package.
Yes. The Apostille and Notarization Support add-on covers coordination with the relevant French or foreign authority for documents that require apostille certification. We manage the paperwork and the submission and return the completed certified document. This is not included in base plan pricing.
Standard formats: DOCX, PDF, XLSX, PPTX, HTML, XML, SRT, EBU-STL, TXT, JSON and XLIFF. For fashion and architectural projects we also handle InDesign IDML and Illustrator INDD files with DTP service. For film we deliver SRT and EBU-STL timed to the source video file.
7 calendar days from the delivery date to raise accuracy-related corrections at no additional cost. Corrections must relate to the accuracy of the translation within the original scope. New requests, scope changes, or changes to the source document after delivery are outside this window.
Fixed. The quote we send is the price you pay. If something in the project falls outside the original scope during the work, we tell you before proceeding and get your approval. We do not present surprises at the invoice stage.
